Christmas Tree Stand

Okay, so you’ve visited every Christmas tree farm and tree seller around and have found the perfect Christmas tree for you home. You’re excited about decorating your tree and making your own Christmas decorations and memories.

But wait! There’s one more thing.

You have to make sure that you have the right Christmas tree stand. After all, what good is the perfectly decorated Christmas tree if it’s leaning because your tree stand won’t work.

Check out this video from GeoBeats that provides guidance on what to look for in a Christmas Tree Stand.

Video Transcript:
When you bring your Christmas tree home the first thing is: make a fresh cut on the bottom of the trunk. It only has to be about a half an inch of trunk. Just in case the sap had sealed over the roots, we want the Christmas tree to be able to bring water up and stay alive and stay fresh and green.

The next thing would be to put it in a stand that holds water. The tree was a living thing and it is going to suck up water through its system. If you have got a Christmas tree stand with a nice big bowl, it is going to hold water, you do not have to check it every hour and you are going to like it a lot better if you have got a stand that holds a lot of water.
